Insurance, Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance and
Baggage Insurance.
- This insurance includes a $100 deductible with a buy-out option.
To purchase this insurance you must be a visitor to Canada, an immigrant awaiting provincial government health care
coverage, or a returning Canadian.
Visitors to Canada Emergency Hospital/Medical Insurance
- This insurance covers visitors to Canada requiring an emergency hospital stay or emergency medical treatment.
It also protects immigrants and Canadians returning to Canada after living abroad who are awaiting provincial health
plan coverage.
- Coverage options available to the following limits: $50,000/$100,000/$150,000 (CAD).
- Benefits include: medical transport, emergency dental, prescription drugs and additional board and lodging expense
for the insured person's travelling companion while they are confined to a hospital and more.
Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance
- This insurance reimburses travel costs if the travel plans are cancelled prior to departure, or if they are disrupted
after the trip has begun.
- Maximum coverage: up to the sum insured for trip cancellation, or up to $25,000 (CAD) for trip interruption.
- Covered risks include: unexpected sickness, injury, and/or death of the insured person or travelling companion,
the insured person's immediate family or travelling companion's immediate family; natural disaster, travel advisory,
subpoena, hijacking, involuntary job loss, missed connection, the non-issuance of a travel visa and more.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
- This insurance provides coverage in the event of the insured person's death or dismemberment as a result of an
injury while riding as a fare-paying passenger on an airplane, helicopter or common carrier (bus, train, boat).
- Air Flight/Common Carrier maximum coverage: $100,000 (CAD).
- 24-Hour Accident maximum coverage: $25,000 (CAD).
Baggage Insurance
- This insurance pays for the loss, damage, destruction or theft of personal effects owned by the insured person while
in transit, or while in any hotel or any other building, en route anywhere in the world, on water, land or in the air.
- Maximum coverage: $500 (CAD).
